I’m thrilled to finally be able to talk about the casting of Katee Sackhoff in the Red and Black Films and Content Films production Don’t Knock Twice!

Katee will be well known to many people from indie horror flick Oculus as well as 2013’s Riddick, but she first sprang to my attention as Starbuck in Ronald D. Moore’s awesome 2004 reimagining of Battlestar Galactica.

Battlestar Galactica did a lot of good things for high concept science fiction, but it was Sackhoff’s performance as the ballsy fighter pilot that carried the series.

Taking on a very different role for Don’t Knock Twice, the film has been mentioned on the circuit as reminiscent of Candyman or The Ring, with a story straight out of ‘psychologically terrifying urban legend’.

Set to start filming this July under the direction of the excellent Caradog James, I’ve got very high expectations for this one after his last film The Machine, blew me away and surprised me at every turn!

You can check out more about the film, as well as some of my work, over at Bloody Disgusting and Arrow in the Head.
